NMR technique provides the miracle of finding accurate oil content present in oilseeds without destroying seeds.

Low resolution NMR instrument is used for such measurements which  measures the total hydrogen content in the seeds which is automatically converted into oil content by the machine.

Estimation of oil content by NMR technique is more accurate than the soxlet or other chemical methods.

Small amount of seed (about 2 gms) is required for such measurements.

It takes only few seconds to measure the oil present in seeds.
