Pusa Sugandh-2 A semi-dwarf, high yielding variety possessing typical basmati quality. Extra-long grains with strong aroma and almost twice elongation on cooking. Matures in 120 days (Seed to seed) with average yield of 55 q/ha. suitable for cultivation in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal under multiple cropping system.
Pusa Sugandh-3 A semi-dwarf, high yielding variety possessing extra-long slendergrains with almost twice elongation on cooking, pleasent aroma and taste. Matures in 125 days (Seed to seed) with average yield of 60 q/ha. Suitable for cultivation in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal under multiple cropping system.
Pusa Sugandh-5 (Pusa 2511) Extra-long grains with strong aroma. Matures in 125-130 days (Seed to seed) with average yield of 65-70 q/ha. suitable for cultivation in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh and J & K. This variety is suitable for irrigated transplanted condition under rice-wheat croping system and has tolerance to shattering. It is resistant to gallumidge, brown spot and moderately resistant to leaf folder and blast
Pusa Basmati-1 A semi-dwarf, high yielding basmati rice variety suitable for cultivation in the Basmati growing areas of north western India. Excellent grain and cooking quality, Soft texture, pleasent aroma. Matures in 135 days (Seed to seed) with potential yield of 60-70 q/ha and average yield 45 q/ha. Contributes about 50% of the total basmati export from India. Well suited for rice wheat croping system in North India.
Pusa 1121 Suitable for whole Basmati growing region of India. Plant height 110-120 cm. Total duration of crop from seed to seed 140-145 days. Matures a fort-night earlier than Taraori Basmati. Grain longer and better in cooking compared to Taraori Basmati. Average grain yield 40 q/ha. Low input, high yield and better for export.
Pusa R.H.10 (Hybrid) Worlds first superfine grain aromatic rice hybrid possessing typical Basmati quality traits. Strongly scanted, long slender grain with almost twice elongation on cooking. Matures in 110-115 days (Seed to seed) with potential yield of 65 q/ha. Saving in irrigation, very high per day productivity and overall profitability. Tolerance to major insect pest and diseases. Suitable for cultivation in the North Indian states Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.
Pusa-4 High yielding variety suitable for Kerala, Karnataka and most popular in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. Matures in 140-145 days (Seed to seed), Potential yield 60-70 q/ha. High yielding with strong stem, has tolerance to shattering, suitable for machine harvesting.
